Collection Quality Japanese Akoya Cultured Pearl Earrings

The pearls, and folks, at American Pearl are remarkable and exceptional in every way. I have purchased these earrings as well as other items from them and the quality of their pearls is by far impressive. In addition, their customer service is beyond reproach. In two words--simply stellar. I confidently sing their praises to all of my friends and co-workers. As my daughter comes of age, there is no question where I will purchase her first pair of pearls from.

You could not ask for more from a pearl merchant. The service (ordering/shipping/delivery) is excellent and the merchandise is evidenlty excellent. The proprietor (Eddie) answered questions by phone and by email. If you are worried about the quality, you have 30 days to take the pearls to a jeweler and compare or get an appraisal. There are lower prices available on the web for the same size of pearls, but I was convinced that the quality of less expensive pearls is not the same, and that any lower price must involve Chinese pearls instead of the Japanese Akoya Pearl. While I couldnt pretend to know the difference, when you are already paying so much for pearls, and consider that they will last more than one lifetime (and will therefore be handed down to other generations), I preferred to pay for the security of being assured of the quality. Having made that decision, the price is much lower that comparable (or even lesser) pearls from Tiffany or Mikimoto. I took Eddies advice and bought the best quality available at the largest size I could afford. The only decision left was rose or silver overtones!

The merchants site was extremely helpful in determining the product that I eventually purchased. I compared their pricing for comparable size and quality pearl studs sold under the Mikimoto Label and found significant savings by purchasing through American Pearl. Their AAA Collector grade product easily matched AAA Mikimoto Studs offerred for sale by a local jeweler for brilliance, luster and absence of flaws. Price wise, the difference was significant. I believe that well be doing business again.

Spoke with Eddie, the owner directly who was very thorough in explaining the history of pearls and how they are graded and priced. He then suggested options to meet my needs and price range. Never pressured, never rushed in my questions, just educated and provided with the apprpriate product that was shipped the following day. Customer service was exceptional and I was notified of the progress of delivery via email. I compared these pearls to others in high end chains and local boutique jewlers and none could compare to the quality and the price of my pearls. I will defintely be a repeat customer.
